Fear and doubt can be pests on the subject of setting your company ideas in motion. If your arm yourself with these strategies, you'll be that much closer to the private growth and small company success you need.
Step No. 1: There are no excuses that should be considered okay
It is your life and you also have to take the time to start your company venture now. Do not make excuses as to why the business cannot work now because really, there are none. There are as many excuses as you can come up with to attach to the reasons not to start the business. Do not be scared that it will not work out; time and cash are just short term excuses.
Step No. 2: Forget about fear
Anxiety and doubt plague even the most accomplished, confident people, so you shouldn't feel alone when they impregnate your consciousness. Recognizing fear for what it is - a self-preservation instinct that could be carried to self-defeating extremes - is essential for the successful small business entrepreneur. Encounter anxiety head on, and only you will remain.
"I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer. Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration. I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over me and through me. And when it has gone past, I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
Where the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain."
- The Bene Gesserit "Litany Against Fear" from Frank Herbert's "Dune" (1965).
Step No. 3: It is okay to feel uneasy
If you get out of your comfort zone and start talking to people, you will be much more successful. You need to be willing to make connections and get help. It is process of getting things started, and it takes a ton of hard work. Avoid being scared by getting the help, and get out of your safe place to help your business succeed.
Step No. 4: Taking action
You need to first commit to the process and then finish it. It is always hard to try and get through everything without doubting yourself, but you will be much better off if you put the idea into motion and never stop. One little bump in the road should not be enough to break your spirits and stop you. Make sure you take action; do not just wish and hope.
