The Truth About School Signs

By Scott Murray

Institutions designed to provide a suitable environment where pupils or students do learn under teachers and also get learning vacancies are known as schools. We have huge signs that shows the presence of the school and its name so that people can know more about it. The school signs have every detail including the postal address and which gender and level the school have attained in terms of giving education.

There are different venues where these billboards are placed in order to advertise, show school directions and elaborate more about the schools. When one does enter the school compound he or she finds many other sign boards showing different places where they are supposed to go through and so on. Parking area, classrooms, staff rooms and dining halls are labeled in order to promote coordination.

These small ones do help the visitors and students to know between different places of the schools compound. When visitors do enter a school with no sign boards of where the parking area is they do experience a lot of trouble while trying to find a suitable place for parking their vehicles. New students are also confused when there are no sign boards to direct them where different places are including libraries and classes and they end up missing them.

These signs are also put on busy avenues to caution them on speed limit in order to pave way for crossing pupils and students. Sketches of children crossing to clearly tell motorist the possibility of a school along the highway and this cautions them to allow any of them to cross. Other written signs like dropping and picking points are seen in big universities where students are picked by taxis and dropped.

Having these road signs is vital since it brings good than harm to school administration, students and parents in general. Tragedies are minimal and the people who contribute to having the school do not feel sorry injuries sustained by of one of them. Early deaths caused by tragedies also do decrease when the traffic rules are followed by motorists and other pedestrians.

In order to achieve minimal tragedy rates all road users and the management that takes care of the highway issues should join hands to bring these situation at a sustainable level. Road signs should be followed by both the road users and so do the traffic lights. Highway management that is part of the government parastatal should make sure all road signs are visible and everyone adheres to the rules.

Death rates do toll down when speed is limited in areas where students do pass through when going to school. Early deaths of students which are caused by accidents can reduce greatly when there is good traffic coordination. Pain is not experienced by their loved ones after losing them.

We can only solve these road issues when all road user including motorists and pedestrians without forgetting the highway managing parastatal do join hands. Everyone should be the others keeper and no speeding should be done when students and others are crossing. Highway management should also put road signs everywhere to direct motorist on places where pedestrians do pass through.
